		<description><![CDATA[In times past, if you wanted to improve your grade, some teachers would assign additional academic work.  In exchange for additional learning and productivity your grade could go up if you turned in acceptable work.  In this article, we read about the ethically questionable practice of giving extra credit for bringing in tissues and other school supplies.  In one class, students can write a short paper or bring in classroom supplies.  The teacher has received two papers in 6 years ... and lots of supplies!  Some teachers refuse to engage in this academic chicanery.  Scoring one for moral justice, when these teachers need classroom supplies, they steal from the ones who gave extra credit to get them.]]></description>
