Jerry is married to Ann Woodbury
Moore, a 1974 graduate of Scotia-Glenville High School. They have one daughter,
a 2004 S-G graduate and current Japanese language
major at the University at Albany. Ann is a librarian with the Schenectady County Public
Library, where she
worked as a page during high school. She has reviewed
hundreds of books for the School
Library Journal and published
over 30 articles and stories, some of which have
been used on state standards exams for public schools. |
| Jerry served in the U.S. Navy as
an Electronics Technician aboard submarines. He has a cum laude B.A. in
Economics and J.D. from The
Ohio State University, and an M.A. in Criminal Justice from
the University
at Albany. As a prosecutor he sent hundreds of felons to jail and
prison and prosecuted all child sex offenders in his
jurisdiction. As a
college teacher he taught advanced criminal justice courses in
law, courts and ideology to juniors and
seniors. |

Jerry
has served as Schenectady
County Human Rights Commissioner, Co-chair of
the Schenectady County Jail Oversight Committee and vice president of the
Schenectady
Access Cable Council, public access channel 16. He
has a private law practice and reads, researches and
writes extensively on public education issues. He believes
Scotia-Glenville schools can dramatically improve academic performance, aggressively
control costs, and increase the productive use of technology. |
Mrs. Vera Weiss, of Glen-Worden's
